Lessons and Tutoring

Cornelia has more than ten years of experience teaching bassoon and piano students of all ages. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in strong fundamentals of technique, coupled with a clear understanding of the music’s context and structure that guides students' musical creativity. Cornelia helps her students find appropriate repertoire and adapts her approach to the interests and skills of each student. She is also available for tutoring in music theory, music history, and writing. For lessons or tutoring in the New York City area or on Zoom, contact Cornelia here.

Cornelia has been performing in schools and retirement communities since childhood. Recently, she has organized interactive performances at schools in rural Connecticut and brought hundreds of underprivileged students and their families to their first orchestra concert. At Juilliard, Cornelia served as a Teaching Fellow for arts education classes taught by Thomas Cabaniss and Damian Woetzel. If you are interested in setting up an interactive performance in your school or community, please use the contact form.
