Mendelssohn Trios
by Fanny Mendelssohn
for three bassoons
*digital PDF download*
Arranged by Cornelia Sommer. Includes parts and scores for bassoon trio arrangements of three lieder by Fanny Mendelssohn: Allegretto (Op. 4 No. 2), Larghetto (Op. 8 No. 3), and Allegretto (Op. 2 No. 3), totaling 7-8 minutes.
Originally for solo piano, Fanny Mendelssohn's songs are charming and harmonically adventurous. These bassoon trio arrangements are of moderate difficulty, with a simple 3rd Bassoon part for ensembles of mixed skill levels.
