Märchenbilder, Op. 113
by Robert Schumann
for bassoon and piano
*digital PDF download*
Arranged by Cornelia Sommer. Includes bassoon part only (piano part is the same as the original piece).
Schumann's Märchenbilder (Fairy Tale Pictures) is one of the most exciting pieces of Romantic chamber music. Originally for viola and piano, the idiomatic bassoon adaptation allows the instrument to sing and show off. Märchenbilder is in four movements with a total duration of approximately 16 minutes.
You can hear this arrangement on New Enchantments wherever you get your music.
